The fire safety regulations require that a responsible person is ultimately responsible for fire safety at care home premises - this may be you!
We will give consideration to your people who may have hearing and eyesight impairment along with physical and mental capability adjustments to ensure that your premises can be safely and efficiently evacuated in the event of an emergency. Sometimes a stay put policy may be the best option if mobility and staffing issues prevent evacuation, additional fire safety precautions may need to be installed to achieve this. We can discuss this with you at the time of assessment, as all of our assessors will take time to discuss the findings of the assessment and provide information on any rectification points that have been identified.
