Business Fire Risk Assessment
What happens when a fire risk assessor conducts an assessment?
The fire risk assessor will arrive at your business on time and introduce themselves to the responsible person. You will be able to book the exact date and time to suit you and your business needs. If we need to conduct an assessment for you in the early hours or late at night. No problem, we even conduct assessments at weekends and around the clock. We cater to your needs and support you through the process of fire safety compliance.
The assessor will request certain documentation such as testing and inspection certificates of fire safety equipment. Fire safety training, drills and any in-house fire safety checks will be taken into account. Electrical and gas safety certificates will also be requested. Don’t worry if you haven’t got any of these in place yet, we will guide you through the process and ensure that you achieve fire safety compliance.
The assessor will then proceed through the premises looking for any fire safety hazards and potential risk from fire at your business.
The assessment time varies depending upon the size and complexity of your premises. A rule of thumb for a simple two storey premises up to 500sq feet will take approximately 3 – 4 hours. This is not set in stone and will vary.
