Once you have booked a fire risk assessor to visit you at your premises, you can expect the following to happen:
The assessor will arrive promptly at your premises. Flexible booking times are available. As a result of this, the assessment should not interfere with your day to day operations. We normally conduct the assessment out of hours, or at time periods when the assessment will cause minimum disruption.
The assessor will request fire safety documentation relating to your premises. These documents could be fire drill records, previous fire risk assessment -if any. What happens after the assessment?
Once the assessment is complete the assessor will be available to discuss the findings of the fire risk assessment. All of the significant findings and other minor rectification point will be highlighted to you and verbally discussed. Once you are content that the assessor has answered any further questions, the assessor will leave. As a result of the assessment the assessor will prepare a written report for your premises. This will be released to you and dispatched within 24 hours, sooner if digital transfer has been requested.
The report will contain all of the significant findings and identify what you need to do. As a result, this will assist with or keep your premises legally compliant with current fire safety legislation.
