You can book one of our fully qualified and insured fire risk assessors to conduct an assessment of your premises at a time that suits YOU. We are flexible and can make bookings for weekends, early mornings and evenings at a time to suit you. Our aim is to conduct the assessment with the minimum of disruption to your business.

How will the fire risk assessor conduct the assessment?

The fire risk assessor will arrive on time and introduce themself to the responsible person or their appointed representative. This means you as a business owner do not need to be present at the time of assessment. A member of your team should ideally be present who can escort the assessor around, and provide access to all areas of the premises. The assessor will request documentation relating to fire safety, such as testing and servicing information. Gas and electrical certification and testing and inspection documentation will also be requested. This is the same information an enforcement officer will request.

Once the assessor has inspected the documentation, then they will tour the premises looking for compliance and breaches of fire safety legislation. You are free to accompany the assessor and ask questions, and at the end of the assessment the assessor will take time out to discuss all of the findings with you and more importantly how to rectify them. This will be in the form of actions to be completed within a realistic period of time.

All of our fire risk assessors are very personable people and will set you at ease, remember they are their to solve your fire safety problems.

What happens at the end of the fire risk assessment?

As we have mentioned you will be given a verbal list of rectification points. You will have as much time as you require to discuss these points with the assessor. Once you are happy, the assessor will leave your premises and prepare the report for you. The report can be delivered in various formats to suit you, please ask the assessor if you would like it in a particular format. Most of our customers prefer a traditional bound paper copy, and others prefer it in digital format. The choice is yours.

Once you have the report, it should be kept in a safe location. This is an important document that forms the basis of your fire risk reduction strategy and will be requested by fire safety enforcement officers if they visit your premises.

That does not end our working relationship with you, we are then available to support you with completing the rectification points. We offer 12 months of support for each fire risk assessment. Unlike our competitors we do not endorse any other third party companies to carry out any rectification points, however, we can offer advice and support.
